ACT closes small-scale solar scheme

The ACT Government has announced today that the cap has been reached for household scale systems under its solar feed-in tariff scheme. The scheme was closed to new applicants as of midnight yesterday.

The government's media release says householders or businesses will be accepted into the scheme if they meet the following criteria:

• entered into a valid contract before the program termination date/time
• can produce evidence that a monetary deposit had been paid to the contracted supplier prior to the termination date/time
• can provide a Statutory Declaration to this effect.

For those living in Queensland, the time to purchase Solar Power is now.  Many will miss out as we have seen from the State Governments, there is no warning when they will close the door on new purchasers.  Queensland, they time to talk to us is now.  Insulate yourself from this years electricity price increase, and next years and the year after that by purchasing your solar power system today!
